The City Bin Co. believe that to make any lasting improvement it is vital to begin educating our children. With this in mind The City Bin Co. have visited numerous schools in Galway and sponsored many activities for children aimed at highlighting best practice in waste management. The pictures to the right show primary school children in the learning about the practical issues of waste management and environmental preservation. |

True to our innovative roots, The City Bin Co. commissioned two local artists to undertake an exhibition of art, music, and ceramics under the title of "Waste and the Environment". The Logan Gallery was the venue for this innovative exhibition that highlighted the waste crisis through an entirely new medium. |

The exhibition was officially opened by former Minister for Arts, Culture & Gaelteacht, Michael D. Higgins T.D. The opening also provided the setting for a meaningful speech by Michael Joyce, Senior Executive Engineer, Galway Corporation on the then future changes in waste collection and management throughout Galway City. |

This funding has assisted city centre businesses in achieving their aims of developing the heart of the city as safe and exciting place to visit, shop and socialise. |
